Executive Vice-President, Chief Financial Officer

Mercedes Escotet, Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer brings 24 years of financial experience from both international and domestic banks. She is responsible for directing Banesco’s overall financial, accounting, budget, credit, insurance, tax, and treasury functions as well as being the Secretary to the Board of Directors. Before joining Banesco she held similar positions with other South Florida Financial Institutions. Mercy was the primary executive responsible in the organization of Banesco.

Mercedes earned a B.S. degree in Computer Science and Business Administration and Mathematics (Cum Laude) as well as a Certificate in Laboratory in Network Communications from Davis & Elkins College. Additionally, she has a Computer Engineering degree from Universidad Simon Bolivar.
