We have exciting news to share – we have changed BBU Bank’s legal name to Banesco USA, operating under the trade
name Banesco. While it’s an important milestone for the bank, you can rest assured nothing but our name has changed.
We still provide the same hands-on approach to banking, with timely response, solid financial products, competitive
pricing and, of course, the personal boutique-bank service and local management you can depend on.
So, why are we changing our name? The first reason is brand recognition. Simply put, as a Banesco customer, you are part
of one of the hemisphere’s largest and most recognized financial services group. As we continue to expand our presence
in South Florida and the Caribbean basin, we seek to maintain the reputation for excellence the Banesco name represents
to customers in the USA, Panama, Venezuela, Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico, and to strengthen our relationships
in the multinational banking arena.
A second reason we are changing our name from BBU Bank is to avoid confusion with the increasing number of financial
institutions that use similar-sounding acronyms for their names. The Banesco name will distinguish us - even more - from
those institutions.
Banesco will continue to function as a fully-independent, local, Florida-chartered, FDIC-insured community bank, with the
same Board of Directors and management team and; with all decision-making based in South Florida.
As a bank with local roots and international reach, Banesco now has a new slogan, “Here with you.” This slogan represents
our strong ongoing commitment to support our customers, now and in the future.
Our name change will not in any way affect how you do business with us; same checks, same account numbers, same
ATM/Debit Card. We will be transitioning the new name in the next few weeks.
